Give the king Thy justice, O God,
and Thy righteousness to the royal son!
May he judge Thy people with
righteousness, and Thy poor with justice!

of the people, give deliverance to the
needy, and crush the oppressor!

We pray, Almighty God, that You may grant the gift of wisdom to our president,
members of Congress and Supreme Court justices in all their decisions,
prudence in their words and actions, and compassion in the exercise of their
authority, so that in their noble offices, they will always render true service to
Your people, now and always.
